Three days ago I filally watched "Imaginaerum" made by Tuomas Holopainen (poet from Nightwish band. Other members are there, too!!) and director Stobe Harju. The premiere was 23 XI 2012 in Canada and Finland and movie was brought out in most countries but not in mine. I and other polish Nightwish fans couln't wait for this movie (on facebook was about 3 000 willing people). But record company didn't made premiere here. So most people must look for this movie in net. I want to thank my older brother for he found it for me. I love you Mike!!! <3
Some informations about plot:
Thomas Whitman is a 75-year-old former musician who has lapsed into a coma after years of suffering from dementia. As he is clinging to his life while his estranged daughter Gem ponders on taking him off life support, Thomas' mind enters a fantasy world where he relives his life as a ten-year-old orphan. After meeting a girl named Ann at the orphanage and acquiring a snow globe containing a dancing figurine named "Arabesque", young Thomas befriends a snowman named "Mr. White", who takes him on a flight to the skies. But during the voyage, Thomas loses his balance and falls into a surreal world bordered by a run-down roller coaster track. There, he meets a younger version of Gem and a 72-year-old Ann, who warn him about Mr. White. Thomas runs to a "dollhouse", where he sees himself and Ann in their 30s, as members of a band. The elderly Ann once again appears in front of him, warning him that the snowman is evil and is responsible for the loss of his memories...
I thing this movie really touched me very deep. It's very beautiful with awesome soundtracks from their new album with the same title. I recommend you this movie, if you didn't watch it.
Really, it's amazing. I and my mother (she didn't watch it, yet) would see it again.
